Asad Khan is a Senior Renewables Asset Engineer at Synergy, responsible for the performance, technical compliance, and grid integration of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) across Western Australia.
Asad has more than half a decade of experience across battery storage, solar, wind, hydroelectric generation, and power system infrastructure. His expertise spans asset management, operational readiness, grid compliance, power system performance, and the delivery of large-scale energy projects.
Throughout his career, he has worked across the full asset lifecycle, from commissioning and operational readiness through to optimisation and long-term asset management of grid-connected energy assets. He has led technical investigations, performance improvement initiatives, software and control system upgrades, and regulatory compliance activities for utility-scale energy storage projects.
With experience across both Australia’s National Electricity Market (NEM) and Wholesale Electricity Market (WEM), Asad works closely with network operators, system operators, OEMs, and project teams to support the reliable integration and operation of inverter-based resources.
He is passionate about sharing practical insights from large-scale energy storage projects and enabling the energy transition through reliable, flexible, and scalable energy infrastructure.
