Shane Quinnell is a renewable energy executive and advisor with nearly 15 years of experience delivering utility-scale wind, solar, and BESS projects across international markets. An expert in the full project lifecycle, Shane has a proven history of managing complex commercial negotiations, portfolio growth strategies, and financial closes for some of Australia’s largest energy assets. Most recently, as Head of Development (NSW & QLD) for WestWind, Shane held full accountability for the strategic progression of renewable energy portfolios, leading multidisciplinary teams across grid, planning, and prospecting functions to drive development execution. His career is marked by the rapid 2GW scaling of a major Queensland portfolio with Lightsource bp and the successful delivery of landmark battery storage projects. Combining a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering with deep expertise in transactions and development risk, Shane provides the strategic clarity required to translate complex projects from site origination to construction start.
