Andy has 16+ years in the energy sector with over a decade focused on storage. He has responsibility for overseeing BW ESS projects in Australia. Prior to this, he was the Chief Strategy Officer at Eku Energy where he led technology, markets, and trading in EMEA.
He was part of Arenko’s founding team in 2015, one of the BESS pioneers in the UK, where he worked on BESS development and then established the UK’s first fully automated BESS trading and asset management desk. That product is now used by RWE, Engie, Orsted and others to trade BESS in the UK and EU. He has been an advisor to Entrix in Germany, sits on the National Grid (NESO) Technology Advisory Council in the UK and regularly guest lectures at Imperial College Energy Futures Lab.
