Dr Adam Surmiak (NER, RPEV, RPEQ, MIEAUST) a senior electrical, mechatronic and electronics Professional Australian Engineer with 15 years of post-bachelor’s degree experience.
Currently a Head of Grid at EDP APAC and EDP Ambassador, recently Grid and Technology Manager at Akaysha Energy (BlackRock), working across utility scale project design, grid connection and commissioning, controls system, robotics, SCADA, power system studies and validation test benches. Adam has delivered projects in Australia, UK, Switzerland, Spain, the US and Japan — from early due diligence, through techno-economic modelling to factory and site acceptance testing while maintaining stakeholders and contract negotiations. Adam is driven by a practical, common-sense delivery of clean energy.
