Steven O’Donnell is the Generation and Storage Manager at Energy Safe Victoria, where he plays a leading role in overseeing the safety and compliance of Victoria’s large-scale onshore wind, solar and battery energy storage sector. As part of the Renewable Energy Safety team, he works closely with industry to ensure operational and maintenance risks are effectively identified and managed across asset lifecycles.
His work focuses on protecting the community by ensuring risks associated with electricity generation, particularly electrical safety and bushfire risk are proactively managed. He brings extensive experience in incident investigation and regulatory response.
He is a Registered Professional Engineer with over 20 years’ experience in electrical engineering and safety.
